Worlds Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
These chocolate chip cookies use more brown sugar than white sugar and the result is amazing.

Equipment
- 1 Kitchenaid mixer
- 1 cookie sheet
- 1 food scale
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 c flour
- 3/4 t baking soda
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/2 c butter at room temperature
- 2 T granulated sugar
- 1 c brown sugar firmly packed
- 2 eggs
- 1 t vanilla
- 10 oz chocolate chips
- 1/2 c chopped nuts
- Sea Salt or course salt for topping optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°.
Stir together:
- Stir together flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl and set aside.
Combine with electric mixer:
- In a mixing bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar and eggs. Beat on high speed until light and fluffy. About 2 minutes.
- Continue mixing on low and gradually add flour mixture about 1/3 cup at a time. Mix until all flour is incorporated. Add vanilla, chocolate chips and nuts.
Bake:
- Gently shape dough into ball (about the size of a golf ball). Place on parchment paper line cookie sheet, Flatten ball slightly with your fingers. Sprinkle sea salt generously on cookie (optional but recommended). Bake for 12 – 13 minutes.
