Ingredients
  

  • 1 pkg strawberry gelatin
  • 1 c hot water
  • 1 can crushed pineapple
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 c whole cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 c celery diced
  • 1/2 c nuts pecans or walnuts
  • 1 dash salt

Equipment

  • 1 serving bowl or gelatin mold

Method
 

  1. Dissolve gelatin in hot water. Drain pineapple reserving juice. Grate lemon to get 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel. Squeeze lemon for 2 tablespoons juice.
    Add pineapple juice, grated lemon peel, lemon juice and salt to gelatin. Chill until partially set.
    Add pineapple, celery, cranberry sauce and nuts. Mix well and pour into serving bowl or gelatin mold.
    Chill until firm. If using gelatin mold, dip in warm water and invert on serving plate.
